We are searching for a smart, energetic, benefits practitioner to serve as a trusted advisor to our clients. As a Benefits Administrator, you will be working from ESG's office located in Tempe, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience administering and delivering benefit solutions to small and mid-sized companies. The Benefits Administrator acts as a crucial link between clients, client-employees and corporate staff ensuring the best customer experience. 


Duties include:  

  • Serves as primary contract in answering and resolving client/employee benefits questions.
  • Educate clients/employees on benefits, insurance options, coverage levels, premiums and the claims process.
  • Coordinate with the Benefits Dept. in getting new group enrollment setup in payroll system.
  • Works closely with the Insurance contacts with insurance renewals and quoting.
  • Oversees open enrollment process for assigned clients groups.
  • Assist employees in completing paperwork or online enrollment.
  • Enroll new group with insurance carriers.
  • Conduct client benefit servicing calls to designated clients and serve as troubleshooter for serving issues, potential plan changes and strategic benefits planning. Provide client needs assessment on an ongoing basis.
  • Educate/advises client regarding PPACA responsibilities. Prepare ACA eligibility reports or behalf of clients.
  • Assists with benefits audit process.
  • Coordinates with Benefits Dept. in establishing 401k plans for clients. 
  • Works closely with vendor partners and brokers.



  • BS/ BA degree plus 2+ experience working within a benefits administration environment.
  • Understanding of insurance laws, benefits plan design (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD).
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures relating to benefits and insurance.
  • Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, Internet & Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skill with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Arizona Life and Health insurance license - is a plus.
