What is a Payroll Specialist?

Our Payroll Specialists are masters at multitasking and problem solving. When our clients contact their Payroll Specialist, we are expected to know the answer and provide a resolution. Think of us as professional problem solvers. Our clients rely on and trust their Payroll Specialist because they work together and have a personal relationship with each other. When there is a problem to be solved, we get it done.

Duties:

  • Process payrolls utilizing information provided via web, email, fax or telephone
  • Ensure that payrolls are processed timely and accurately
  • Provide a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction
  • Provide reports as requested
  • Maintain and update employee information (status, pay rate, address, bank accounts, deductions, etc.)
  • Follow through to collect necessary paperwork (new hire & termination forms, deduction changes, etc.) 
  • Maintain and update PTO plans
  • Process garnishment paperwork
  • Maintain filing system and performs other duties as requested
  • Answer payroll related questions from employees and clients

Our Payroll Specialists typically have between 1-2 years of experience when they come to work with a basic understanding commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Payroll.
